FAQS

  • In an effort to conjure up our pre-Covid Rooftop, we have decided to reinstate our traditional walk-in-only policy. Whilst this means there is no guarantee of a table, it also means if you make an impulsive decision to visit us on level seven, the odds are in your favour. As always, get in early to enjoy the sunshine and avoid the queue.

  • Yes, you can. See menu above.

  • Yep. We have a kitchen and it’s open from 12 noon until late every day we are. And we can assist vegans, vegetarians, coeliacs, etc.!

  • Our crystal ball broke years ago, but generally, if it’s warm and sunny, it will be busy. If it’s cold, windy and raining outside, it won’t be as busy. Strange but true.

  • See above. We’re limited to a certain number of patrons at any one time. When we reach capacity, we will operate a “one in, one out” entrance system.

  • Sure, we’re happy to host your canine pals. The deal is, they have to remain on their leash and will need to be back in their kennels by sundown. Half price drinks if the dog looks like its owner.

  • Not for another year, Rooftop Bar is fully licensed. All patrons must be over 18 years old. Minors will only be permitted to enter if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Yes. We accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard AND American Express at all bars. There’s no minimum purchase.

  • For more information on our art-space “Vitrines” contact info@rooftop.net.au.

  • We certainly can! Stay in the know and sign up to our newsletter here.

  • This is important to transgender or non-binary people who don’t identify as men or women; who often fear being attacked or discriminated against if they use either gender’s loos. All we request is that you respect this space and keep the cubicles tidy. One at a time please 😉

  • Sorry, but that’s a no. We want Rooftop to be open for everyone all the time. Our sister venue Mesa Verde (just a floor below us) can cater for private events. You can also hire out their exclusive Rooftop Garden. See function pack here.

  • Of course you can. We will just require a credit card and photo ID.

  • Sure, if you want, but only in the designated areas.

  • You can find them all here.

  • We really regret that Rooftop Bar is not wheelchair accessible. The Curtin House Lift only goes as far as level 6. There’s one flight of stairs to ascend to the roof. We do have an ambulant bathroom for those who require these facilities.

  • Rooftop Cinema will not be conducting a full-length season this year. But if you want to be the first to hear about news and special events, subscribe to our newsletter below. Or if social media is more your thing, you can stay up to date via our Instagram.

  • Our refurb has increased weather protection, including retractable roofing systems in the bar and on the decking to provide extra shelter from the rain.

  • Ask the bar staff 😉

  • Yes, on Sundays we have a 10% surcharge and on public holidays we have a 15% surcharge.
